Pullman Cannes Mandelieu

Hello dear readers. I am sorry that I post so little lately...but I am in the ultimate holiday mood! Here in The Netherlands the weather is hot, hot, hot and the best way to handle that is to sit back and relaxzzz. This year we are not going on vacation, but I also love spending some time at home. The kids can swim in the plastic little pool in the garden and I am watching them from our comfortable garden set. So you can understand, no complaints here... But if we were going I wouldn't mind going here again. A few years ago we went to this hotel for a few days and it was lovely! It's a few minutes from Cannes in France and it's called the Pullman Cannes Mandelieu. But for now I keep on dreaming of going again and in the mean time I enjoy our own garden (and that's not too bad either)! Hope you all have a great vacation too.

Pastel Blue

Pastel colors are still (very much) in the air. So I hope you will like this Pastel Blue moodboard for a kids room. 1 Baby jumpsuit from GoodMoodKid. Made from cotton with a little bit elastin so it’s very comfortable to wear! The cute print on it is from my hand :-), I designed a number of prints for this Dutch company. 2 Car from Floris Hovers. 3 Cute bed from Piet Hein Eek. 4 I like to place some “grown up” lamps in a nursery/kids room. It gives the whole look of the room a stylish finishing touch. This wooden lamp is from Muuto. 5 Meet Suki Mushroom from Donna Wilson. Made of 100% lambswool with polyester stuffing. Knitted in Scotland, made by hand. Suki loves opera and Scottish Whisky…

Handmade jewelry

Irene from Bloesem blogs has her own jewelry collection Bloesem Wear and I want to share some of her newest pieces with you. The new collection combines her passion for crafts, pearls, gems and colors. All jewelry is handmade by Irene from original materials and comes flat-packed in a Bloesem Wear design envelop or a handmade Linen pouch. Staying true to her own style and taste, the collection is understated, delicate and has a soft, almost fragile, feel to it.  Irene uses genuine silver, gold and semi-precious stones that create timeless pieces that will last.

Blogs I read: Griottes

Welcome to my new column: Blogs I read. I thought it’s nice to show you which blogs I follow. The first blog I want to show you is the blog Griottes palette culinaire. Actually this blog is more a blog I “look at” rather than that I read it, because it’s in French. It’s from Emilie, a 26 year old artistic director in real life. On the blog you can find recipes, photos (food, nature) and DIY tutorials. I love her blog. Not only she makes beautiful photos, she also has an unique style with her added graphics. So please go over there and have a look yourself. Hope you will like it!

Graphic prints from my hand

Here is a better look on the graphic prints that I made for the collages in the kids rooms (which I blogged about last week). Hope you all are enjoying the good wheather. Here in The Netherlands it's a good temperature for relaxing :-).

DIY: Spice up your wall

I wanted to do some decorating with my photos. Since the walls in the kids rooms still were a little bit empty I decided to make a collage on them. I selected the most beautiful photos from my archive and also made some graphic prints for a bit of variety. I printed them and taped them on the wall with masking tape. Tadaaah, that's it! I like the result and the kids do to. My boyfriend is still getting used to it. He thinks it's getting a bit "crowded" on the wall ;-). Have a nice week!
