A sip of gold

In times of crisis gold always is popular, literally and figuratively. People dress more decadent just to “conceil” the less wealthy times. Opposite you see that fashion is a bit more sober in better economic times. However I wanted to show you some of the most beautiful products with touches of gold. 1 This Bufferlamp is almost a design classic. Wieki Somers designed the lamp in 2002 and it is still going strong. I sell the lamp in my webshop, so I can tell it’s still a big hit! 2 Very decadent champagne Goblet  from Sieger by Fürstenburg. It’s from the collection called Sip of Gold, need I say more? 3 Kiki van Eijk makes the most beautiful and extraordinary objects. For example this Soft Clock from ceramic. 4 Little plates big on versatility. You can use these tidbit plates by Kate Spade New York for hors d'oeuvres and appetizers. 5 This handmade Paper Mache bowl is made from recycled paper and is made by Etco (available at Etsy). 6 Grid is an eye-catching vase collection manufactured by Turkish artisans, bestowed with hundreds of years of experience craftsmanship. It combines contemporary design with Turkish sensibility. Designed by the very gifted Jaime Hayon for Gaia & Gino.

  1. My mother gave me their gold engagement rings as heirloom. I will be protecting it with all my life.
